Nirvana Santos-Kuilan is a Brooklyn-based arts programmer and independent curator. Her practice focuses on themes of bodily transformation, abjection, and subversion of social norms through a queer, gendered, and BIPOC lens. Her curatorial projects have included Sympathetic Lightning (co-curated with Sarah Davidson) at Springs Projects, Oil of Milk at Vox-Populi, and Not Me, Not That, Not Nothing Either (co-curated with Rachel Beaudion) at the Leslie-Lohman Museum of Art. She is the founder of YKES!, an event series celebrating queerness and camp in genre films. With YKES!, she has collaborated with organizations including NewFest Film Festival and Decrim NY. She is currently the Manager of Public Programs at the Museum of Arts and Design.
